Handling safeguarding reports

Only Safeguarding leads read reports. An Operator admin without the role cannot, and nobody can while acting as someone else.

Handling a case

Safeguarding lists the reports with their deadlines and no content. Open one to read it: opening is recorded. First acknowledge it. Then assess, refer or resolve, each with a note the reporter never sees. A signed-in reporter is told where the case stands, never the note.

Deadlines

Every report is acknowledged within 7 days and resolved within 30. Every night we tell the leads when a deadline is near, and the Operator's other leads when it was missed.

Adults linked to a participant

Operator admins and Safeguarding leads open Adults on a participant's record. It lists their Leaders, the assessors they nominated, the admins who acted as them and the admins of their Centre, each with the day the link began.
